Heating/Air Cond II 626201R Regular Career Ed, Elective Successful completion of HVAC I is required for this course. It is advisable that the student’s career interest inventory indicates construction, and/or HVAC as a choice and they have requested to enter the three-year sequence with parental consent. This is the second course in a three-year sequence of Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning (HVAC) classes. Students will review safety hazards and corresponding precautions to take. Students will then learn how to:
- properly install a Forced Air Furnace (FAF),
- FAF safety codes,
- design, layout and fabrication of ductwork,
- install gas pipes, electrical breaker panels, conduit, thermostats, vents,
- perform checks
- maintain and service FAFs
- start their own HVAC business.
