Auto Body Repair I 619102R Regular Career Ed, Elective This is the first course in a three-year sequence of Auto Body Repair classes. Automotive Body Repair I presents an overview of the various skills and techniques, as well as the job opportunities associated with the field of Auto Body Repair. Students learn to identify the various parts of an automobile and the tools used to repair the vehicle. Students are introduced to the basic auto body repair skills and terminology. Safety rules are taught, explained and emphasized throughout the class. The following topics will be examined:
- Developing a repair plan
- Maintaining an individual career plan
- Preparing and applying fillers
- Preparing and applying sealers, primers, and paints
- Developing detailing skills
